Michelle Cieloszczyk

Michelle Cieloszczyk is a Toronto-based visual artist. Her work takes the form of cast objects, installations, public interventions, and public art. She makes work about abuse of power in law enforcement, and the experience of state/institutionalized surveillance through architecture. Previously her work focused on ideas of objecthood in relation to waste and consumerism.

Michelle holds a BFA in Sculpture/Installation from OCAD University. She was awarded the Haydn Davies Memorial Award, Best of 3D Works at Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, and Third Place in VAM41 Juried Exhibition hosted at Art Gallery of Mississauga. Her public sculpture, CAN (2017), was commissioned through the FCR Sculpture Competition for 85 Hanna Avenue in Toronto. Michelle has exhibited work in Toronto, Montréal, London ON, and Glasgow.
